    Rehmeyer’s Hollow

    On November 27, 1928, John Curry and two accomplices murdered Nelson Rehmeyer in his farmhouse — believing the 'witch' had hexed them — then burned his body to break the spell. The 'Hex Hollow' trial made national headlines and remains the most famous killing tied to Pennsylvania Dutch powwow culture; the house now operates as a small museum.
