When was it built?

the cornerstone itself is contested

Why disagreement stays on the page

Most directories silently pick a winner. This archive was built by merging independent sources — government registers, local histories, field reports — and they do not always agree. A site can be a working inn to one registry and a museum piece to another; open to the public in one record and posted private in the next.

The disagreement is itself information. A Public Access dispute means "check before you go" is not boilerplate — it is the state of the record.
