A joke Facebook event — 'Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us' — collected two million 'going' pledges in summer 2019 and peaked on September 20 with a few thousand festivalgoers at Rachel and Hiko, zero storms, and one instantly iconic Naruto runner on live TV. The Air Force's deadly-serious warnings made it the decade's best accidental publicity for the base.
