The Stanley HotelRoom 217
Elizabeth Wilson — 'Mrs. Wilson,' the housekeeper injured in the Stanley's 1911 gas explosion in Room 217 — is the hotel's most persistent ghost: she reportedly still unpacks, folds and tucks in guests who stay in her room. The most benign famous hotel ghost in America, by the staff's own account. The file stays open on it.
