Engine-room sailor
Sources attach this name to the 1 place below. The name itself is part of the folklore record.
RMS Queen MaryDoor 13, engine room
The engine-room sailor is the Queen Mary's most specific ghost — the young crewman crushed at watertight Door 13 during a 1960s drill, reported in the narrow passage where he died. The engine room is the ghost tour's centerpiece, and 'Door 13' is the detail every visitor remembers. The telling survives; the proof stays folklore.
