Lizard Man
Sources attach this name to the 1 place below. The name itself is part of the folklore record.
Public Radio recounts Christopher Davis'1988 report of a reptilian figure near the swamp and subsequent vehicle-damage stories. The file calls it Lizard Man. Open country keeps its stories differently — Scape Ore Swamp in Bishopville, South Carolina files its reports in weather and distance. The file keeps Lizard Man on the roster; the sightings keep the name alive.
