Oscar Washburn
Sources attach this name to the 1 place below. The name itself is part of the folklore record.
A second version ties the haunting to Oscar Washburn, the lynched goatherd. Old Alton Bridge (Goatman’s Bridge)'s legend rides the corridor itself: a stretch of Texas ground where drivers have told the same story for years. The name travels further than the proof; the sightings keep renewing the lease.
