Puʻupehe

Sources attach this name to the 1 place below. The name itself is part of the folklore record.

Puʻupehe — the burial-platform tradition of the sea-stack off Mānele Bay — is named for the woman buried atop it in the legend: the lost beloved whose grave the summit ruins are said to be. The islet's very name ('Sweetheart Rock') preserves the story in the landscape. The platform on the summit is the story's anchor.
