The keeper's wife is Seguin Island's tragic legend — the piano-player whose isolation-maddened husband, in the classic telling, destroyed her instrument and then her. Whether she existed or not, she's Maine's best-known lighthouse ghost: the music visitors report is always hers. The piano reports continue regardless.
