The Shaniko dead
Sources attach this name to the 1 place below. The name itself is part of the folklore record.
The dead are reportedly seen. The accounts name only a collective — the Shaniko dead. In a place where the population already left once, the remaining reports at Shaniko feel almost inevitable. 'Shaniko, Oregon' carries the account. The file keeps The Shaniko dead on the roster; the sightings keep the name alive.
