The VMI cadets
Sources attach this name to the 1 place below. The name itself is part of the folklore record.
The cadets are said to cross the Field of Lost Shoes. The file calls it The VMI cadets. A fortification's lore is written in its casualty ledger; New Market Battlefield's ledger gave the reports plenty to work with. The name travels further than the proof; the sightings keep renewing the lease. The report keeps its place in the record.
