The record — long form

Freetown-Fall River State Forest is the Bridgewater Triangle's dark core — the Massachusetts woodland where the region's documented strangeness concentrates, a 1980 cult-murder victim found here giving the file a body count that the legends alone couldn't supply.

The file's documented spine is the Triangle's reality: a forest where the folklore (UFOs, phantom big cats, animal mutilations) overlays real crimes — the cult murder being the record's anchor in a landscape the lore made infamous.

Triangle lore

The lore reports UFOs, phantom big cats, and animal mutilations — the file's catalog being the Triangle's full weird register: lights over the trees, cats that shouldn't exist, animals found wrong — the forest's strangeness being the region's most concentrated.

The cult murder is the file's hard edge — a real killing inside the folklore forest, the body's documented discovery giving the Triangle's legend a weight the phantom cats can't carry alone.

Why this file matters

Freetown is the archive's Triangle file — a forest where folklore and real crime mix, the 1980 cult murder anchoring the UFO-and-big-cat lore in something the police actually found. The documented killing is the record; the strangeness is the lore.

A forest that hid a cult's victim keeps its darkness — the file's suggestion being that the Triangle's reputation is earned by more than its legends.
