Churches

Consecrated ground with reports of its own. Church dossiers range from figures in the sanctuary to activity in attached burial grounds and rectories, and they carry a particular documentary texture: congregations keep records, and clergy have occasionally put reports in writing. The archive files what was reported and by whom, without asking the building to take a position on the claims made inside it.
