Lake dossiers collect drownings and wrecks on the documented side and, on the reported side, lights over the water, figures at the shore and the occasional resident the record cannot identify. Depth soundings settle the physics; the claims are filed as claims. The archive notes where reports concentrate — usually the same shore, usually after dark, usually reported by people who were fishing.
