Public ground with a private reputation. Park dossiers cover places kept open by design — trails, groves, picnic ground — where reports attach to a specific grove, bridge or curve in the path rather than to the park as a whole. Day-use and after-dark accounts differ considerably, and the files note which is which. What was reported is on record; the gates close on schedule regardless.
