- 1864historyCedar Creek and Belle Grove
The October 19, 1864 dawn surprise and Sheridan’s ride are documented. Ground with a documented war record gives the file real substance; this entry is part of it. It's verified history: the dossier's load-bearing detail. The detail is preserved in 'Cedar Creek'. Documented ground is what separates this file from pure legend — this is part of it.
