Historic settlements
A settlement preserved — streets, buildings and grounds held at a particular date — where the record suggests not everything kept to the schedule. These dossiers cover living-history sites and preserved villages; staff accounts dominate, because staff are present when the visitors leave. The archive files what was reported in buildings whose documented history is already unusually complete, and notes that the interpreters do the interpreting.
