Mansions

A house built large enough to hold the fortune of a family, its staff and, if the reports are credited, a few of its former residents. Mansion dossiers tend to carry two records at once: the documented household — who built, who died in which room — and the reported one, which often assigns a name and a room number to a figure seen on the stairs. The archive keeps the genealogy and the sightings in separate columns.
