Jails
Smaller than the prison files and closer to the town square — a county lockup where the record is short, specific and usually attached to a cell block that closed decades ago. Jail dossiers often double as museum files now; the reports come from staff, tour guests and the occasional overnight. What was reported in which cell is on record; the archive notes that most of these cells are now open for exactly that purpose.
