Museums
An institution that exists to keep things, filed under reports that it may be keeping more than its catalog admits. Museum dossiers split cleanly: buildings with reputations that predate the collection, and objects that allegedly brought theirs with them. Staff reports carry particular weight in the record — the witnesses know the normal sounds of the building better than anyone. The archive logs what was reported and by whom; it does not appraise the holdings.
